A Journey That Belongs to YouCongratulations, you’ve decided to take control of your health. Your future. The way you feel! That’s great news. News you can feel really good about. Okay, so now you’ve made the decision to embark on your HCG diet journey. We’re guessing you might have one or two questions to ask. We understand this; we understand your unique path into this diet. We all arrive here with one goal, but for many different reasons. With this in mind we have created seven of the most common questions you might have coming into this diet.
HCG Diet Plan. A Quick Primer You might understand the HCG Diet plan as a rapid path to weight loss. Sure, some of the most dramatic weight loss testimonials have been associated with this diet. However, the diet, originating from Dr. Simeons’ Diet Protocol was designed for weight to remain off, and for the body to retain muscle, for a long period of time. By comparison, other rapid weight loss plans often lead to rapid weight gain after the dieter returns to normal eating habits. How Does The Diet Work? The diet works by the use of Human Chorionic Gondatropin or HCG. This hormone is already present in small amounts in both men and women. Is there a Food List? Aside from the careful use of HCG, Dr Simeons’ Protocol also includes the use of a prescribed list of foods, not to exceed 500 calories per day. This Very Low Calorie Diet must be strictly adhered to in order for the diet to have the desired long term effects. During this phase, exercise is still encouraged, however HGC diet participants may want to switch to a less intense workout schedule such as yoga or another, less aerobic intense exercise class. Phase two of the diet allows for 500 calories per day, and can go up. Some dieters go as high as 1,500 calories per day. If this sounds like you; it is important to understand that the weight loss of up to one pound per day is less likely, the more calories taken in on a daily basis. However, if your daily activities are physically intense, the higher calories might be an option for you. If in doubt, check with your health care provider first. What about HCG Diet Side Effects? Before you embark on any weight loss plan, please discuss any pre-existing health conditions with your health care provider. When compared with the long term health consequences of obesity, the side effects are very small. However, with any type of weight loss supplement, pill, or hormone, some participants may experience some side effects while taking HCG. However, many HCG dieters claim fewer side effects than prescription medications their doctors have prescribed for them. Am I Detoxing Too? For those coming down from a high fructose, high carbohydrate diet rich in refined starches and high glycemic (high sugar) diets, side effects may include some mood swings, stomach upset and headaches. This likely has more to do with depriving the body of sugar and ‘empty’ calories, than the HCG diet per se. If in doubt, check in with your family health care professional. However, it is important to understand that your body is essentially de-toxing, in addition to adjusting to fewer, nutritionally dense calories. These side effects will pass. Remember, your body is trying to re-set after years of high caloric, nutritionally poor, highly processed foods. Set Yourself Up For Success! Gather as much information about the HCG diet as possible. Read! By preparing yourself beforehand for the sort of side effects discussed above, the greater your chances are for success. By creating a feeling of self-control based on knowledge, you’re setting yourself up to best manage your responses within the initial adjustment period. What is Sublingual HCG? Hate shots? The sublingual method may be for you. Either way, a critical part of the HCG diet protocol, the sublingual drops contain the same Chorionic Gondadtropin hormone as the injections. These hormones aid in ridding unwanted weight by controlling your appetite. The HCG hormone also pushes the metabolism to move faster. Result? Faster weight loss! Do I Still Need To Exercise? Answer. Yes! Think about this; with any diet, the goal is to maintain a healthy lifestyle and habits. Remember earlier on, we talked about thinking about lower impact exercise? In other words, exercise that is not going to demand intake of extra calories. This is the time to explore exercise techniques you might not have thought about before: pilates, yoga, or Tai Chi might be a great fit! Again, the same applies if you have never engaged in a work out program before. By giving you a chance to adjust to the demands of a new program, the greater the likelihood of success! Remember, it takes willpower. Your determination means success. What Can I Eat During the Phases? Pretty much everything during Phase One! Considered the ‘loading phase’ this is the time to eat all the foods you’re likely to miss during the rest of the diet. Enjoy! Phase Two takes place over about three weeks. During this phase, the strict 500 calorie a day eating plan should be followed. On this eating plan, refer to the list of foods you are allowed to eat. The consumption of plenty of water will be encouraged. During Phase Three congrats, your body is now showing definite signs of weight loss! You should now see a difference when you weigh yourself. Now, according to the diet protocol you will be allowed to add to the number of calories you are allowed to eat. This is the stretch before the Phase Four maintenance mode. Phase Three lasts approximately three weeks also. Phase Four. This is where you eat for life! Now you want to maintain your new slimmer you! Carefully, you will add in extra calories while learning the upper limits on carbohydrates that is right for you! Everyone has their upper limit. Never again will you look at food in the same way. So that’s it! Your questions answered. Now all that’s left is for you to do is get going! All of us at HCG Supplies look forward to hearing your success stories!
