Are some of your new year's resolutions to lose weight, gain more body confidence and start leading a healthier lifestyle? If so, part of your plan is probably to go on some sort of diet. There are, of course, hundreds of diets out there, each with their own varying levels of efficacy—but what about something a little different?
The HCG diet is designed to facilitate weight loss—fast. If you'd like a quicker way to lose weight, then this could be the diet plan for you. Read on to learn all about the diet, HCG diet injections, and how you can lose up to 1 pound per day.
What Is the HCG Diet?
HCG—which stands for human chorionic gonadotropin—is the linchpin of this diet plan. The HCG diet combines a low calorie intake with HCG hormone injections. To get the most out of this plan, your calories intake should be somewhere around 500 calories per day.
It's thought that there are many benefits of HCG injections. It's believed that HCG can help to boost your metabolism, prompting accelerated weight loss in the process. It's also thought that it helps to stave off feelings of hunger, making the low calorie intake easy to maintain. And it is thought that HCG helps to target stubborn fat in all the right places.
The HCG diet is broken up into three separate phases. These are: the loading phase, the weight loss phase, and the maintenance phase.
During the loading phase, you should begin taking HCG injections and eat plenty of foods that are high in fat and high in calories. This phase lasts for 2 days.
For the weight loss phase, you need to continue taking HCG and limit your food intake to a 500 calorie diet per day. This phase is 3 to 6 weeks long. There are specific foods allowed during this phase. Please read Dr Simeons diet protocol for all of the specifics.
The final phase is known as the maintenance phase. At this stage, you'll stop taking HCG. You can now increase your food intake at a gradual pace, but should avoid sugar and starch for at least 3 weeks.
Your Guide to HCG Diet Injections
You might be wondering, what are HCG injections? These injections are an integral part of this diet plan.
Before you begin the diet, you should make sure that you have all of the necessary equipment and tools at your disposal. This includes things such as HCG, injection syringes, a sterile capped vial, bacteriostatic water, and alcohol wipes.
Having all of these things handy will ensure you're able to deliver your injections in a safe and efficient manner. You should speak to your doctor about what dose of HCG is best for you to take. You can find directions to mix all of the standard HCG Diet dosages here.
There are 2 ways you can administer your injections: subcutaneously or intramuscularly. Choose which option you're most comfortable with, and make sure to research your chosen method before your first injection.
